WHERE ARE MY POSTS???!!!!

So here I was thinking that all these posts I have been sending through the whole mobile blogging were getting posted and enjoyed by those who enjoy my random ramblings. However, I get onto my page "the old fashioned way" and find that NONE of those posts are here!!!! No!!!!!!!!!!

They are officially floating the abyss that is random postings or text messages or something.

Wherever they are, they are not on my page and that makes me sad. Oh well, I will get over it.

Yesterday, I had a nice day off thanks to my dental appointment. The appointment itself took less than an hour and was in the late morning. So I had a good chunk of time left to just simply relax, and (who am I kidding) be a bum. Oh, mid-day tv programming. I remember those days of getting ready for class while I watched whichever court room drama was on at the time. I cannot believe that Jerry Springer still has a show. I can believe that Maury is still doing paternity tests. As long as there are people who are willing to sleep around and there are guys who are willing to go on national tv and deny their children, then there will always be talk shows with paternity tests...sadly.

It is sad that I was so excited to get gas for $4.39/gal. Atleast gas prices have been slowly dropping. Last Friday the price of oil dropped more than a dollar a barrel. I mean it is still high, well over $100 a barrel, but as long as it is slowly dropping, gas prices will continue to decrease. Great for us gas consumers, sad for certain countries (ahem, Iran) whose economy continues to survive only as long as gas prices remain high. This is not the for every middle-eastern country, however, there are a few who have been able to inject a boost into their inflation riddled country through the increase price of oil.

Don't get me wrong. I am not saying America has it right as rain by any description. When I have to decide between a gallon of gas or a gallon of apple juice....thats sad.

Since I got so serious with politics and economics (yes, I was a business student ;) and a GOOD one at that!) I will end this entry with a picture that reminds me of innocent days...days when the price of gas did not matter, and I did not care about apple juice as long as it was in the fridge. A time when the most serious question was not how far will they go but rather another question. The question that rocked our generation. Where's Waldo? Enjoy!!

Mobile Blogging

It works!!

And much better than Tumblr I must say. I really like how I get confirmation that my blog has been posted. At Tumblr you send, then constantly check to make sure that your post is there.

Dear blogger, I have returned :)

Walking

I was reading th news online, as I usually do, when I came across an article on cnn.com about the benefits of walking. The article gave 8 benefits of walking. One reason that stuck in my mind. According to the article, people who walk lose about 25 lbs a year and keep it off. If I lose 25 lbs I would be over the moon.

So I need to start walking again. I was considering getting up at 5:30am and walking b4 work. Then walking again when I get home. That would be a good 10 hours a week. Who knows it might even help me stay awake in the morning.

Tomorrow I will try. Update to follow.

Mobile Blogging

One of the many blogs that I own is at Tumblr. What I love about that site is the way that that I can send posts via my phone. Apparently Blogger has something similar and so I am now testing it out.

I hope this works.

What Have I Been Up To Lately?

Reading....

And lots of it.

Lately, I've been reading alot again. This usually happens when there are things that are going on in my life that I would rather not have going on in my life and so I turn to books as a form of escapism. At the peak I can burn through multiple books a day. Just churning along ignoring whatever the current issue that's bothering me. And so I have decided to bring back See [Phoebe] Jane Read.

I have received complaints bout how the link to my reading review site was down, but I had disabled the blog until I figured out exactly what direction I wanted to go with it. Now I think I'll stick to its simplest form. Reviewing the books I've read and giving my thumbs up and thumbs down. Enjoy.

See [Phoebe] Jane Read !

Some catch-up is in order, but that will have to wait. Since the last time I posted here I have been pretty sick and pretty busy. The recap post will have to come later if at all because I really am not in the mood to reminisce about what has happened in the past couple of months. Besides its would not make for the most interesting read anyways.

Right now work is pretty slow. The Outlook server has been down and so no emails are able to be sent out or received. Some people have plenty of downtime and they spend it online or staring into space. Others (esp. the bosses) are spending the time wandering around the cubicles just spying on the employees. Thrilling.

Today I set up a new blog. It's called See [Phoebe] Jane Read (You can click on the name to get to the blog) The blog will just be my thumbs up and/or thumbs down on the things I read. I read whatever seems interesting or whatever I feel like reading. I will not be following Oprah's Book Club Book of the Month or even the best sellers list. It all just depends on recommendations from friends and whatever I find on a book shopping spree. So if you have any suggestions or want to see what I'm reading, head on over there:
http://www.phoebejanesbookit.blogspot.com/.

However, the regular in and outs of my life will be still written here for your viewing pleasure.
